I have a senior terrier girl, who was diagnosed with Cushings disease a few months ago. The vet originally prescribed 30mg, once per day, of Vetoryl. She seemed to do well on it, but I decided to research alternative treatments, as opposed to giving her chemicals. After the first 30 capsules, I'd chosen to give CushAway a try. She actually did as well, if not better than she did while taking Vetoryl. At a checkup, and about 3 weeks of taking CushAway, the vet suggested putting her back on the Vetoryl, since he wasn't confident the CushAway was doing her any good. Well, not 24 hours after her dose of the Vetoryl she developed severed symptoms of Cushings, and she refused all food and treats. I had previously decided to get a second opinion, and the new vet suggested lowering her dose, but to begin her back on CushAway. I did the next morning, and by that afternoon the severe symptoms drastically subsided. I've been giving her the CushAway every morning since, while waiting for the lower dose prescription of Vetoryl, and she is doing great. She's 11ish years old, and she's not been overly active, but she does make it outside to potty, does follow me through the house for attention, eats great, sleeps through the night, and doesn't do her circling and seemingly confused. I will update this review once I start her back on the Vetoryl as the new vet stated it will do no harm for her to take both.
As of today, we have gone 2 weeks without accidents in the house and I finally feel like we have our dog back!! We aren’t even through our first bottle yet.
I am so glad i listening to my instincts on this and got him started on something natural. If you are dealing with incontinence and excessive drinking.. t try this!!!
